Alas, one of my prized possessions didn't meet it's reserved price on Ebay and thus remained unsold.
If anyone can give me a good reason why I should give it to them or simply has something that may take my fancy to trade i'm all ears.
It's the original 1968 round sleeve, double gatefold version and I'm very serious about giving it away if someone will let me know why they should have it.
The lack of a sale has taught me that I need to build up some good karma so now's your chance kids! I'm as poor as a church mouse but who gives a fuck?
Free collectable classic albums! What more could you want?

well i think you're crazy giving it away but this album inspired all my friends to keep their weed in tobacco tins when i showed them the album. also my dad is in a 60s tribute band called itchy coo park.
and the narration? incredible. i truly love this album. if i were to make a case fo having it...it would be simply that i'd play it. i have a record player in my room and it could accompany al my beatles vinyls and mc5 and clash and the jam and the rest of them..
the great thing about ogden is it's one of those albums only matchable by the beatles. which in my opion is a compliment of the highest.

Although i must say i would like it, i must also say this. If you lose possession of this direly valuable item you will regret it, it should become an heirloom of your house never to be surrendered unless at death, and then through rigor mortis you [or descendants] should do your best to hold onto it. Officially my favourite album, it is not something to be bandied around for free, make up a story about how you fought a big ugly dragon for it and give it to your firstborn, telling them to guard it with their life, since that dragon was pretty shockingly big... That's what i intend to do with my copy of it on vinyl, which i intend first to give to my dad so he can give it to me [The Small Faces are a favourite of both of ours, it's sometimes disturbing]. On the other hand if it has to go to anyone Clark is a hero, Him Him Him! Just bear in mind what i said, it must have more emotional value than that old leather jacket which i lost last week, ... I digress... Thom x

my parent's version got stolen. Your only reason to part with this dearest and most amazingly beautiful album is that you wish to educate some poor soul in the ways of Stan and the music of legends>
I think you need to give this to some young unfulfilled person and give them some happiness in their life. I have it on CD i can cope with that although one day i will hear stanley unwin mumbling on with the distant crackel of vinyl echoing throughout my home.
*runs and puts vinyl copy of Autumn Stone on the record player* It's better than nothing

Dearest replyees,
It amazed me that there wasn't some free for all to grab a freebe. I guess I underestimated you all.
I only consider this album as a materialstic thing and not something of any great importance (I've got the CD too) but maybe that's just me.
I think that my (as yet unborn) children will probably laugh at me if I try to pass it down to them saying 'But it's not a CD dad!'.
The one thing that you have all done for me though, is reminded me of the spiritual importance of such a record. (Always be mindful of what 'record' means when you buy vinyl!).
My Sister bought this album for my birthday when I was visiting her in Florence in '97. Ironically, I'd just read about Ronnie Lane's death in a two day old copy of the Daily Mail that I had bought in the train station an hour or so before.
It's not my favourite Small Faces album (or obviously my favourite 60's album which is Love's Forever Changes). My favourite Small Faces album is eponymously titled first album. I love the song 'Come On Children' so much and please don't get me started on 'Grow your Own' (I know it's not on the first album but instrumentals don't come any better than this).
I now realise that the Small Faces are as special to you as they are to me and thus for my benefit you can all look a gift horse in the mouth.
I can safely say that my faith has been restored in humanity via you three and that you've made me realise although I can't sell it or give it away, it should stay with me.
God bless you all.
x
Any thoughts?

i think I'm going to cry. But it would only be because i'm tired.
My sister brought me Eternal Flame by the Bangles and although i haven't listened to it that 7inch will never leave my possession.

Ah EC1.
I tell you what - I'll swap you for MBV's Glider E.P. on 12", and I'll trow in the Tremolo E.P. 12" aswell. Also, I have a spare copy of Lazarus E.P. 12" too... if you might have a pop-up 7" of From The Bench At Belverdere going begging.
