Went to see travis last night live at rivermead in reading! It truly was one of the most disapointing gigs ever! Travis have good songs and have gone far, but they cant put on a good live show. It may have been the fans who made it poor: This fucking bitch turned around to me when 'driftwood' came on because i tried to start a bit of movment in the crowd and said ' cna you please stop pusing me' i replied by saying 'im at a fucking gig, what do you expect grandma' my other friend pushed past this woman to get through to meet us and he got slapped for touching her, then later on these other people were complaining coz my mate was smoking, and you wernt aloud to take cameras in- how pathetic is that. The majority of the crowd were families with all their children and grandmas. The gig dragged on for 2 hours with them doing a 7 song encore. Travis are the sort of band who can fuck off back to scotland and stop attracting these wasters who moan at getting touched at a gig. On a more positive note keane were quite good but they really need a guitar.

i saw them at allly pally.....but that was cos kings of leon were supporting an they were fucking incredible (gawd knows why they were supporting a crap band like travis :  an you're right, their shows are really long an boring  an stupid people go to them...i kept on fallin over peoples bags right behind me...an they're all very old or very young.....nothin against that sort of thing but they got pissed off with us when we enjoyed kings of leon silly buggers but yeh i agree with you bout travis....boring fucking crap  |

hey hey, well i actually like travis, and was at the riv on sat. i thought it was a good performance, but i hated the crowd. you see someone on a guys shoulders with a 'Peace The Fuck Out' tshirt on...... that was me, front middleish. yeah it was all old or young, and they didnt like the closeness. i was trying to move towards the front between travis and keane, and one guy goes to me, 'you can push through if you want, but its not advisable' with a im gonna hit you if you do it look on his face. and people moaned when we started moshing lol. jumping got out of hand. its easily done. but yeah, theyre not that bad are they!?!?!

each to their own mate  at least you enjoyed it!! trouble is methinks people who go to gigs for that kind of band are usually people who dont normally go to gigs an all (of cors not everyone! im not knockin anyone here) so they dont know how to behave: eg. with the pushin an moshing, think its outta place, rude an all that crap silly buggers..what do they know  |
