Jet are shite, they are the most unoriginal band since...wait, sorry, Snow Patrol are the latest unoriginal band, but Jet still remain as the most boring pap i've heard in ages. One of their singles (can't remember which one) directly stole the chords form the jam and iggy pop. Disgusting...

yeah I've not really been all that sure about Jet. Some of the songs seem catchy, but I've managed to resist getting the album, despite NME going on about them all the time! The Vines are good though!

yeah I used to tend to buy albums if NME said they were good - but I've learnt they're not always right! I really like the White Stripes though, sorry Joe!

now i only buy nme if the libs are mentioned on the cover. i liked 'are you gonna be my girl', but then i heard their other stuff. Did you see jet on the nme awards? It was the flattest "performance" since before britney got her boobs done. they're poo, its troo. Loving the franz though, i saw them support hot hot heat last year, they were superb.
I only ever bought one album on the basis of nme hype - anyone remember the warm jets? no me neither, i only listened to it once.

Even though i don't like Jet, if you've got tickets you might as well see them. Don't let wveryone who hates Jet convince you, until you think the reasons up for yourself. If you like them, go and see them, then make your mind up.

Jet fucking rule... the first 5 times you listen to their album. Now I am scared to pu on their cd incase the awful slower songs come on! Their more upbeat stuff is great though. The trouble with them is they arnt anything new to be honest. They have great songs but they havent changed the world of music like Libertines or the coral have. Personally i think they will be dead after 2 months just like with the Thrills who nobody can remember who they are. The certainly wont last for 3 albums. They will be cool live though so if you have tickets go for it!

nahhh i really like Jet, Get Born is really really good. And yes, I did buy it (partly) as a result of an NME review, but if you never bought any albums like that you would miss out on alot. I dont often buy albums that have good reviews in Nme but are you gonna be my girl was goodgood.
I also sometimes just buy random cds, (maybe i like the name of the artist/band, or even the artwork) and have found the albums to be amongst the best i own.
I know Jet arent doing anything new, but is any band these days really? one of the only (good) bands that i know that is taking music forward, into the future, as opposed to taking it back to the past (not saying anythin wrong with this...) are Muse, who i really respect

I like jet, and i like snow patrol, and the white stripes.
Probably everything now music wise has been done before, its just bands like the libertines have a certain edge or something extra about them thats bit different from artists before them. I like the stands album, but i expect them to be heard on the next soundtrack to heartbeat, theyre that 60s sounding.
