I've completely lost track of things here... everythings been so busy.
Kain are finally playing in London again this week though, be great to see some of you along there if your around.
They're playing Death Disco @ Notting Hill Arts Club on Wednesday 21st (on stage at around 9.30pm), and the Hope & Anchor in Islington on Thursday 22nd (on stage at around 9.40pm).
For those of you who don't yet know the wonder of Kain read on...
"Kain, my new favourite band" - Duckie Music
"Kain have something special" - You're So Old Street
"Kain from Glasgow are possibly one of the best bands I have ever seen. Why they are not internationally huge amazes me." - Mr David Viner
Not forgetting...
"Publicly here I recommendle the sluicing chopstick guitars and radio friendly melodious." - Peter Doherty
And in last weeks NME...
"sluts of Trust and Kain, meanwhile, fly the flag for classic old-time rock'n'roll. As inebriated as you like, and with tunes - like the sluts' 'Piece O' Me' and Kain's 'All My Heroes' - pretty much guarenteed to knock you sideways." - one of the top 50 hottest bands of 2004
"These are simply perfect pop songs, played with humour, style and boundless energy." - live review
"An enticing proposition: an invite only rehearsal room shindig from local "renegades of rock'n'roll", Kain. Veering off the walls like a brilliant booze-addled car crash of The Rolling Stones, David Bowie and The New York Dolls, songs like 'Pink Grenade' and the jazzy garage of 'All My Heroes' have won over Glasgow - and the world's next." NME, 'Gigs in Glasgow', Sept.
"Once in a while your reminded just how good live music in a small venue can be. This point was rammed home by Glasgow rockers Kain as they played what was arguably the most blistering set at King Tuts for some time." TimesOut, August.
Come, come. Not worth missing.
