your last question is easy - 18th august.
The only red tunic ive ever seen that looks like the ones the libs wear was on ebay a while ago. Iv heard people mention you can get them in camden but evidently not. There must be some somewhere though

Move up to Glasgow, seriously, in this retro place I was drooling over 3 of them. One wasn't really like it, but near enough. The other two were, well, drool worthy.

Ah...the light....
Just wanted to inform people that one of the narks on Fame Academy wore a Lib stylee red British Army jacket on today's show (Saturday 9th Aug) while singing some David Gray song....not that I sang along of course....
Sacrilegious wearing of the jackets like this must be stopped. Please warn friends, family and naive members of the public. Thank you.

Tell me about it, my mother of all people called me into the room to see this guy dancing round on stage in the glory of the red jacket, needless to say i won't be voting for him or any of the others, but i doubt he got it himself, its probably from the costume shop of the BBC more than likely, maybe if u asked them nicely they might let one of you buy it, only a though though

i think he's alright. its nice to see someone who admits to liking the libs, to a mainstream audience (he said they were one of his fav bands on the website). he also said in his video thing that most of his clothes are from charity shops and that he has a liking for military gear - nothing wrong with that is there? and he was made to sing a david grey song too. so there!
for fucks sake, now i sound like a right reality tv addict. i hate those programs, but its the first time ive seen someone on one who seems to care about the same bands i do, and looks/sounds vaguely human. most of them just seemt to be obsessed with r'n'b and crappy caberet shite from the 70's.

Im not calling the lad at all, I saw him perform "Last Train to Clarksville" and that was fantastic. However I feel that the performance and outfit, did not suit the song. Really it kinda spoiled it a bit, but im sure u will agree as i do, that kinda program needed sumone with his musical tastes to liven things up a touch, instead of boring stereotype pop acts.
After all there are fewer more distressing sights than that, of an Englishman in a baseball cap.

Dear one and all
Didnt realise that the geezer was wearing it in HONOUR of the good ship Arcadia. Respec'. Proper bo etc etc.
Uh....wot was i gona say? Aaaargh!
Oh yeah....
There are not many things that make me scream Except sacrilege of a Libertine Dont let pikeys wear red coats They make me want to just elope The British standard will fly high When the band just plays, their fans just sigh I hope we all take some thing from it And I can finish off this sonnet We love the Libs, that much is right Bring back Pete, Fame Academy's shite
Oh I thank you!

yeah i agree with you on that, its great to have someone like him on the show - someone a bit different. thinking about it, the tunic, and jumping around to 'david gray' dont really go that well do they??! i thought last train to clarkesville was well good though. it was on the fame academy site that the libs were one of his favourite bands (the beatles, oasis, radiohead and the verve were the others i think). there was a link on the other forum, probably.
