I can no longer use the domain name www.boysintheband.co.uk because of some balls up by the hosting people, so they're giving me a free .co.uk name. And im going to have to do the site again from scratch cos i lost all my files when i got a virus, which is a shame. Any suggestions for a .co.uk name??, preferably one thats not already taken.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking... I reckon thealbionrooms would be superb, it has a definite ring to it, a (perhaps not unsurprising) homely feel to it. Talking about the band, it's not looking good really is it? I don't know if people have been keeping up to date with Peter's posts on .org (also on .de in the news section) and babyshambles.com, but I don't think the omens for The Libertines as we know and love them are looking good...

yeah it seems hes forming a new band for the whole babyshambles thing, i wouldnt mind seeing a pete solo tour as long as he gets back together with carl after. Its what comes after dont look back into the sun thats worrying me. Theres no doubt that they have the songs, itll be a shame if they dont get released as a libertines album. I think there are many twists in the tale yet though. I might drop the the and just go for www.albionrooms.co.uk, im going to make some sort of site anyway, even if there are no libertines to make a site about.

It does all seem very final doesn't it? I'm loosing hope of things ever getting sorted out.
A friend said she'd heard The Libertines had been taken off the adverts for Reading/Leeds. I've not seen one since has anyone else seen one?

Yeah, me too, just lately things seem to have become that way. I'd love to see a Pete solo tour, I really would, but in the toilet circuit venues of old, not just gigs in people's houses (obviously he couldn't do that for a tour, I just mean I wish that somehow that was a bit more formality to babyshambles, one way or another - I realise that's very difficult with Rough Trade though). Hmm, see the thing is we don't really know which of the babyshambles songs Pete regards as his own, so it's hard to say which he might release as babyshambles and which, if any, he regards as Libertines songs to be recorded with Carl and the rest of the band. I suppose if you mean overall that they've got the songs, and it would be a shame if they didn't release babyshambles as a Libertines album, I think you're right - it would be great to hear them performed by the whole band (although a lot of them would be a pretty big departure from the stuff they've done to date). Hmmm. I don't know. I haven't seen any Reading / Leeds posters since, no, maybe there'll be one in NME tomorrow or something. By the way Holly, I don't think your little picture (avatar) works anymore!
