my seven nation army 7" is now worth £25 which is pretty awesome. they are a great band. they have the sound, the image and the attitude which a lot of rock bands just cnanot pull off.

£25? Really? Should have bought 2. Ah well.
They're ace yeah. If you like their more blusey stuff try listening to David Viner. The Stripes are big fans....

As are you... Is the album good then? I saw it got a good review in NME and thought you must be onto something...

haha I am yeah, you got me.
The album is superb. I haven't stopped listening to it for 3 months. He's good enough for me to put on my first gig in order to see him again.
Well worth getting hold of. 8/10 in NME... 'Viner might yet wake up one morning and find himself a star'. Says it all.

Yeah, I saw that... it went well then?! That's some achievement putting a gig on like that... bravo! It sounds good, I'll pick up a copy sometime... what with you and the NME praising him, I figure he must be at least half decent!

Oh yeah it went really well... if I'm honest he was a bit drunk by the end of his set, but no one cared, it was more like a party than a gig by the end, the crowd (mainly made up of people I didn't know which was brilliant) were fantastic, absolutely loved it. People kept saying it was the best gig they'd been to all year. Kain played too and were amazing, they did an encore together. Loved every minute of it. Look out for a review in NME this week although I get the feeling the reviewer didn't exactly get into the spirit of things.... Letters can be written again if need be.
Do get it! Ooh and while I remember, I had a proper hunt at my parents house and I really can't find that Soulwax CD. I think I might have lent it to someone along the line.... sorry Tim!

Excellent! Yeah, I imagine it was great to know that the crowd weren't just all your mates who you'd told to come along - it sounds like it went really well. I've yet to hear Kain properly, I think I missed them when they played with The Libs in Whitechapel just before Christmas, I should check them out. On a similar theme, do you like Razorlight? I see the girls across at youresooldstreet are quite taken with them at the moment... I downloaded some tracks yesterday but haven't had chance to listen to them yet. They sound good from what I've read about them though! Aah, no worries about the Soulwax album - I know how easy it is to 'lend' a cd to someone and then never see it again!! I'll look out for it cheap, it might be in the sale at this time of year or something! Thanks for looking anyway!

I've just downloaded some stuff too... I've not had a listen yet, just about to put them on. Yeah I keep being told how wonderful Razorlight are, but much like me people are slow at sending tapes They do sound like they'll be excellent. See to make up for Soulwax I'll send you a Kain CD, but be warned the demos don't sound that much like Kain. One of them is a bit too polished. But you'll get the general idea. You might be able to pick up the original cover of the Soulwax CD cheap in fopp, they've recently reissued it. No idea why.

Heheh, yeah, sorry, I'm on the case of tapes now!
Ok, that would be great, thanks! Did you like what you heard of Razorlight then? I was quite impressed myself, you can see the Television influence, but in a good way.

Your not meant to be sending me a tape are you? I didn't mean you. I think Razorlight are ace... in fact watch out for another eyeswideopen event coming soon. Oh no! Jack has broken his hand. The Stripes have pulled out of TITP

Are you going to T in the Park then? I see The Flaming Lips have replaced the Stripes...
