Forgive me for being totally thick, but how do you get your own picture in your profile? Does it have to be taken from a website or can you use a pic you have saved in your own documents?

has to be extracted online from a website or an ftp host somewhere... xp home edition provides free web publishing where you can put upto 3mb worth of files onto net.. i've thrown a few into the mix and draw my forums pics from that site.... your link might to read summat like this... uk.msnusers.com/pkvrrj7n9ch3qhq3pv1vhd1/Documents/kill%20city.jpg and so forth (dont try the link it wont work) |

you might be able to link it from a host like your msn profile which you can upload stuff from your my docs

i found it easy to to put in the link for the pics from the gallery at this website www.thevines.by.ru/ there was a few libertines stuff on there-the vines ARE shit ;D |

go onto face party.com and make a profile for urself onto it upload the pics u want when u click on the pics in u profile they get bigger then right click and hit properties it'll come up with loadsa stuff one will be a long website address which is the address for that picture copy it into the bit in the forum where u put ur avatar picture and hey presto it should work.

I managed to do it at last!! I will stick with me pic of this guitar for the now, not as good as half of your pictures though you smart people!!! Thanks for all help, much appreciated   |

i tried doin it from a website (namely boysintheband the rockfeedback1 pic), but it doesnt seem to have worked
I dont know what im doin wrong but advice would be welcome.
do you have to set it to a certain size or somethin?
