is it just on the forum or on the main site as well.?
My computer seems to have a collection of pop ups that appear even when im accessing sites which dont generally have them, makes my computer which is slow anyway, more or less stop. There are some pop ups on this forum but i dont think its from any of them causing the problem.
Does anyone else have probs with the site or any pop ups or anything?

I think it must be a problem with the site, because the same thing happens to me. Getting to the very front page is ok, but once I click on that to enter, I get a virus warning, which it usually doesn't let me clean or delete - if I just press continue until it goes away, everything is fine after that, no more problems. There's obviously something about the site that it's not happy with.
The pop-ups on the forum are still there, but they don't cause a problem, and I knew they wouldn't go away when you changed the web-space anyway, because the forum is different.

i dont get any virus warning on mine, then again my computers had it anyway so a virus would probably do it good.
Ill see if i can find out whats causing it, it could be the random quote generator thing, but if anyone has any idea whats causing it let me know.
The forum pop ups will remain for now until i can find a way of making enough money from the site to pay to stop them. Might start selling dodgy t shirts or something.

just out of curiosity - which virus is it!?
I have had trouble with a nasty vbs script lately. All is sorted now - but I wonder how I got it. This website here never gives me a virus warning when I visit - but who knows?

I think ive got rid of it, i made a right mess of my computer in the process though, i ended up having to wipe my hard drive, nothing to do with the virus though, just me being careless. Does anyone still get a virus warning?

I found yesterday that I have a VBS virus too. Twas the first time in ages that i'd done a scan so it could have been there for a while. Dont really know what to do with it now though. I have norton antivirus 2000, but it says it cant repair said VBS virus. At the moment its in quarentine, does that make things ok?? Any help would be much appreciated...

norton couldn't repair/delete the virus from my machine either, pc-cillin failed as well. I got a free trial version from www.norman.com - that one worked and deleted the infected files. (if you have windows ME you'll need to disable the system restore feature before you run the anti-virus programme. the virus might have written itself into the "C:/ _Restore" file. unless system restore is disabled no files from there can be deleted, and next time you'd run system restore you'd have the virus plastered all over your hard drive) Geekily, Alex x
