Just wondering who you guys think is the better producer...personally i think that although the album is a modern classic, the single what a waster/i get along sounds amazing..word is that they're going back to record a bunch a tracks with bernard butler..i'm dying to hear how they sound..what do you think???

i liked the butler ones aswell, ideal for the what a waster single, but i do think mick jones recorded the album better than anyone could. Id love to hear the new single produced by butler, but according to pete they had a few problems, but they did record some stuff, dont know whether itll be released though. They recorded dont look back....... and jeanne as far as i know.

I have to say I prefer Mick Jones' production, to be honest - although What A Waster did suit Bernard Butler I guess, I'd still like to hear it a bit more 'ramshackle', if that's a word... and the single version of 'I Get Along' sounds very odd now, probably because we've heard so many live versions of it and stuff...
It'd be interesting to see what Bernard did with Don't Look Back Into The Sun, definitely. I prefer Mick Jones' stuff though, to answer the question.
By the way, I thought I might as well put them here as anywhere, I figured out a bit of The Delaney today, from the Babyshambles sessions; I'm not sure what the first line is now, but it seems to go:
"There's magic in all that he does"
Then in the third verse, after "the cab fare over" I think it goes:
"How superficially are you enjoying the company That you loathe to bear, what exactly do you mean?"
