The Libertines' Session for the Evening Session on Radio 1 is being repeated this week, so if you missed it last time around, make sure you tune in for the rest of the week, 8-10pm. Last night they played I Get Along and Mayday, so still to come are Up The Bracket (which I missed first time round) Boys In The Band and Time For Heroes.
I should have the whole session on tape by the end of the week (just need to get Up The Bracket), I'm happy to send tapes if anyone's not got it all (within reason of course!)

Damn it, cheers for the warning Tim, I got 'Boys In The Band', but missed 'I Get Along' and 'Mayday' though. So if there's any chance of a tape when you get them all 'll happily send ya a cheque or a copied CD, whichever you prefer, let me know. Cheers mateys

No problem Phil!
Paul - well they made me wait all the way 'til the end of the week to get Up The Bracket, but finally I've got them all now, yeah! I can send you a tape, no problem. I can stick some other stuff on there too if you like, seeing as it only takes up about ten minutes of tape! You don't need to bother with a cheque - you can send me a copied CD or a compilation tape if you like! Send me a private message or an e-mail or something and we can sort something out!!

Hi Jim - hope you had a good holiday?!
Unfortunately I don't think there is anywhere you can get them on the net - Radio 1 don't put whole sessions online, although if you really wanted to, you could listen to all of last weeks' Evening Session programmes and Lamacq Live again (on the website), but that would be rather a lot of effort!! I can send you a tape of the tracks though, if that would help?

I had a top holiday thanks. I saw a poster in magaluf for that festival with the libertines and oasis playing which was nice. I should have robbed it.
Ive heared most of the songs on the session now by looking where they are on the tracklist and skipping to them. Thanks for the tape offer anyway.
Has there been much going on in libertines land?

Yeah, you should definitely have nicked that! Gutted eh?! There's not been much going on that I know of...they played the Witness Festival in Ireland over the weekend. There was a post on the other site saying that the album was finished and that about 22 tracks had been recorded with Mick Jones, but you can never tell who is posting on there, so I'm not going to believe a word of it! I'm sure it won't have only taken 2 weeks to record the album. Nothing else that I know of though - if you've seen the earlier post, NME had 'Skint and Minted' on their radio one week, and the band have been the subject of a fair bit of 'discussion' in the letters page of NME over the last few weeks. Oh, they played a 'secret' gig at the end of June at the Death Disco club in London, and there's actually a review of the gig on www.rockfeedback.com. I knew there was something!

Hi Paul!
What are you doing here?!!!! Bit of a coincidence eh?! Yeah, I got your tape yesterday too - it looks great! Haven't had a chance to actually listen to it yet, but some great tunes on there I know (which I like in a compilation tape) and some other stuff I've not heard and really should (e.g. Kick Out The Jams, one of the tracks by The Smiths, loads of others). And a cool front cover too! Cheers mate!
Yeah, 1969 is a great track isn't it?! I take it you really like the rest of the album then? Top stuff in my opinion!

Yep, 'Highly Evolved' is an amazing album, every track's so good. Well I'm glad you like the tape, I meant to say I was talking to Roxy (Gay Dogs) on MSN, she's really cool. She's gonna send me one of her demos too, so that should be good, cos I've never heard them before. Anyway, gotta go, people to do, places to see and all that...
Cheers
