Lamacq just played Up The Bracket. It is much the same as the version I heard on the live session, but with a few different chords at the start and some wierd bits where Carl's voice is left, but with a funny hollow, fuzzy sound. Or is that my wireless? Soon he will play a new Ikara Colt track.. He plays alot of dance music doesn't he? I reckon most people who listen are listening for 'alternative' music, even though it may be Papa Roach...

It was top though wasn't it?! I got so excited when he said it was coming up! Very good, not quite as 'produced' as What A Waster, more raw sounding I thought. And you could actually hear the lyrics this time! I'm not terribly keen on the end, it seems to come to a halt too quickly, but it's still a fantastic song! Hopefully Lamacq will play Boys In The Band soon too!
He does play a lot of dance and hip hop, yeah, but I still think it's the best show around for hearing new music first - he does seem to have a soft spot for Papa Roach though, which is kind of annoying. Either that or he's very good at pretending to like them...!

Up The Bracket! How good does that song sound? Some funny effects towards the end and some funny backing at the start, magic

It's not Carl's voice on Up The Bracket, Carl sings boys in the band, Peter sings up the bracket.

Yeah, I know. But isn't there a bit where Carl's backing vocals are alone? Hope he plays Boys In The Band. Yeah Yeah Yeahs in session tonite on Peel. Did anyone hear The Cranebuilders in session on Peel about a week ago? Class.

They played Up The Bracket twice on XFM today, and I almost crashed my car with excitement. Every time I hear it, I love it, and I was already fairly besotted. I see that the NME listing supplement features the Libertines this week as well. Lovely looking house. K
