It certainly is... I really love the line "now i'm regressing down this lonely street to a cheap hotel when i can meet the past & pay it off & keep it sweet" - absolutely brilliant - they are superb lyricists, they really are... there's many more classic lines, even just in that song...

I have to say though, even though it's still one of my very favourite Libertines songs, I think they actually played it better on the first Xfm session they did - the album version isn't quite as, I don't know, feisty... but maybe that's because I spend half my time listening to those session tracks on my PC...

Yeah i agree the session one seemed to have a bit more to it, same with begging aswell, though they still sound great on the album. I wonder if Bangkok will be a bside,?, hope so
That one they played at reading is good aswell, crying out for a double album really. They had about 25 songs recorded to choose from.

I wish i could come up with lyrics half as good as the ones they write
