ok first off...i bought three copies of the vinyl so i could have both posters on my wall and a non violated version. and the 2 cds
i will say i prefer both previous versions of both don't look back and death on the stairs. although i am bias because i'm more familiar with them. i think the babyshambles version is more appealing.
however, virgin megastore sold out all copies of the vinyl in one day and that is twenty one so maybe this will be a big hit....

i was thinkin of gettin another copy of the vinyl aswell, its great 99p for a poster and a 7", the posters quite good too.
I love bits of all 3 versions of DLBITS ive heard, i love the drums in the chorus on the first babyshambles version, the second babyshambles version the guitars sound better, and the recorded version is all round good, including the british sea power esque scream at the start, which is a bonus.

I went back to get another copy of the vinyl this morning, I thought they'd sold out at first but thankfully not. A bargain at 99p. I love the way you can change the cover sleeve too, between the one that's on the cd's and the other collage (sp?) type thing on the other side...
I would say keep playing 'Death On The Stairs' - I really didn't like it much at first, I thought it was too slow, the vocals were too brash and the backing vocals were strange, but now I love it. I suppose I've always found the album version slightly weak (having heard the Xfm version loads of times before), so I guess I might be bound to think it's an improvement. I'm not sure how the final recording of 'Don't Look Back...' can be anything but completely amazing, but that's probably just me...
Maybe I'll leave raving about 'Skint and Minted' for later...

i have one side of the poster from the nme anyway. but i picked myself up the 7" and the cd with 'skint and minted'. 'don't look back into the sun' is fast becoming my favourite track.

Its the bollocks Its sort of a cross between general smuts and time for heroes and columbia by oasis, Okay then its not, the feedback in the background just reminded me of the start of columbia. The recording is in the general smuts style, and some of the guitar bits remind me of time for heroes.
Its a great song on its own, one of my favs at the moment, prob because its new though. Some quality lyrics e.g. "You're a swine but i like your style", if anyone works out the lyrics by the way, you know what to do.

have you noticed everthing with demo next to it is very dirty in its recording style. obviously it's the demo way but it's very consistant with the libs
