I used to like TCTC, their first album was quality but their second was a bit poo, hopefully their next one will be a return to form. They had far too many members in their band anyway. Looking forward to hearing the music anyway.

Well I will let you in a little secret: I'M NOT A SPECIAL NEEDS KID, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I do get it, though I did not find it as funny as the Mt. Killamangiro joke. I am going to have low expectations of Carl's new band so that when I hear it I won't be disappointed. Pete D has already one up on Carl; Baby Shambles is a much cooler name. Carl merely took DPT from his club nights. Boo! Be more creative Carl!

Babyshambles is a good name but Dirty Pretty Things is about 297502475 times better

Babyshambles is poetic, a complete, accurate reflection of Peter and his world...what is Dirty Pretty Things?
A feckin load of hazy, random, unhelpful, less than descriptive adjectives and nouns thrown together. But the teeny boppers and nme sweatband wearing, converse-all-stars sporting 'alternatives' will love it.
Look forward to the music though.

any one know who is playing koko on the 22nd? As far as I know they qualified for the World Cup, and have no qualifiers left to play. Although my mate reckons they still have Libya to play.

Babyshambles is a dire play on words and all it does is bring to mind an even more dire "beverage" (and I use the term loosely). Dirty Pretty Things on the other hand is poetic, a complete, accurate reflection of Carl and his world. It's dirty, it's pretty and it's full of ......things! I'm also looking forward to the (properly recorded) music.

Gawd, take it easy, it's just a band name. Hardly as important as the music they'll be playing is it? Besides, if you think it's the worst band name you've heard in a while, you clearly haven't heard of the Test Icicles..........

Dirty Pretty Things is taken from a film of the same name, is it not?
