Hes recently been doing a few gigs with a new line up as Babyshambles, i think steve bedlow has been singing for them if im not mistaken (i probably am)
This was of the other forum
"Carlos and I signed to rough trade as 'The Libertines' we are still signed to rough trade as 'The Libertines' no one else is signed to rough trade as the libertines, but carl pays a drummer and a bass player to play my/our songs with him live. They are not 'in the band' which is me and carl and steve as carved in blood at Delaney Mansions back steps, Camden road many years ago etc I am rehearsing new band members as I write (quite a task) and currently have a a grand line up to do songs old and new justice."
I also heard mick jones might be producing some stuff for babyshambles.
As for 'The Libertines' theyre still touring with a new guitarist in the US, but the future is still unsure. This latest post by pete on thelibertines.org gave me some hope
When asked about a possible Babyshambles tour
"I'd love to do a tour, more than owt, but as all is up in the air I can't make too many plans until after my hearing on the 11th, and wait and see if Carlos wants to patch it up plah blah so I'm playing monday just because I need to and I know at least one maligned individual needs me two too. "
Hope that clears a few things up. Im going to turn the Babyshambles section of the site into a sort of Babyshambles news thing seeing as i cant have (m)any mp3s anymore.
