How come no-one's more excited than this? I was reading last weeks' NME in the shop yesterday (I'm so disgruntled with that excuse for a Top 100 albums list) and I happen upon a Libertines news item declaring there could be a brand new single as early as May!! Don't Look Back, which they've been playing on the tour and seems to now be titled Don't Look Back At The Sun (if I remember rightly) is the most likely candidate... and I heard Arbeit Mach Frei, which is fantastic! Yay, brand new Libs stuff - something to cheer me up at last!

I read that too... it is very exciting. I don't know why I'm not more excited about it, guess I don't really trust NME. I'm excited about that French 7". Theres an article about it on www.thelibertines.deOnly 2000 copies though, which is more worrying, and only for sale in France. This could cause problems, knew I should have concentrated in French when I was at school.

the 7" will be released in France in 3 weeks. It costs 5 euros with postage in france, but maybe they can send it in Europe. You can directly ask the label (he he i suppose they speak English!): chantal.dialektik@wanadoo.fr

Ooh yes, thanks for that!! I'm excited about that too, I hope I can get my hands on one! Then I'll *definitely* buy a record player!! Should be easy enough to get your hands on, if you're willing to pay a bit extra (the 7 inch, that is, not the record player...)

Ah.. but how much extra is the worrying part. Should be alright if they do let you pre-order it. Lets hope so.

So you've not been able to pre-order it then? They didn't reply to me when I emailed them.

Maybe they don't want to send too many copies abroad.. or they can't... the deal with rough trade was, I suppose, to let them release 2000 copies of the 7", but only in France I think Alex wrote in English; apparently a few French people understand English..

Ah.... still no reply. Could I be really cheeky and ask you to get me a copy if you can when its released and send you the money...? I guess your right, maybe they don't want to send them to the UK.

Ah I see... I'd really really really appreciate it if you could order two copies of the 7", I'd send you money to cover postage and any trouble, but if it is too difficult then thats okay.... I don't think they're going to reply to me!
