I doubt anyone else will care, but they're my favourite band so I'll have a little rant. They're back and they're touring! They've got a new single out on June 2nd, called 'People' and from all accounts its amazing.
Tour starts on in Glasgow, at King Tuts on the 25th of May, then goes to Leeds Cockpit (26th), Bristol Station (28th), London ULU (29th), Manchester Uni (30th) and finishes up at Brighton Pavillion on 1st of June. I'm off on the tour to sell t-shirts so if you come along say hello!
Sorry... very excited.

Hey, that's really cool, especially that you're going off on tour with them selling t-shirts - how fab will that be?! I don't really know a lot of Alfie, to be honest, maybe I should check out their first album... cool, I'm chuffed for you! They've been away a while, haven't they, always nice when your heroes (?) return!

yeah its been a while. Not too bad though, only a year between albums, which you can't really complain about. Last album was out on Twisted Nerve, and they left them to go to Regal, so the lifespan of that album was all of about 2 weeks!
Its very exciting times though. Yeah, check out If You Happy With... its a great album. The other side of the scale from the Libertines mind you, but you know. Brilliant all the same. If you've not got it I can do you an Alfie tape to go along with the Soulwax DJ one if you like.

Oh right, I thought it was longer than that for some reason - a year isn't really a long time, when you think about the age it takes some people to make an album. I wouldn't exactly call them my heroes, but it's taken Blur nearly 4 years to put a new record out, they've kind of lost a bit of meaning for me in that time, so much has come and gone, you know? I'm still looking forward to this record though...
Anyway, digression over, have you heard the new single yet then? I imagine it'll be on the radio in the not too distant future if they've set a release date for it. Wow, I don't have the album, so yeah, an Alfie tape would be great, thanks! Right, I've got to do some stuff in return now! I'm off to e-mail you...!

It's not a long time, I guess it just feels like a long time, due to the fact that they were only around for a couple of weeks before they seemingly disappeared again with the last album. Yeah, bigger bands do just take forever to do new albums, suppose they don't have the worry of people forgetting them completely though do they?
I've not heard their new single yet, just heard people talking about it. I'm off to hear the album next Thursday, and I can't wait. I've heard one of the tracks off it, which I was told is about a 10th as good as 'People' and its ace, so looks like it'll be blinding.

Yeah... You Make No Bones. Everyone loves that song! I've been lead to believe the new stuff has the same appeal. A copy of the new single is in the post to me now, so I'll let you know whats going on with it.
Come see them!
